Well, unfortunately I did not get a chance to make it out to Urban Market Houston this weekend. I was bummed, but I had a lot of work to catch up on. I will have to keep my schedule open for the Spring market. This weekend was full of catching up on sleep and starting some commissions that I hope to get out by the end of this week. It was a nice, productive weekend, and I’m hoping to have many more of those before the end of the year rolls around.
I still have quite a backlog of posts to get up, so though it’s near winter for some states, this girl is still loving every bit of fall around her.
A few weeks ago, Houston had gotten a ton of rain. By the time the weekend rolled around, the ground was soggy, the air was humid (oh Houston…), and the sun was out. It was the perfect recipe for glossy cheeks, sticky arms, and frizzy hair.
But it didn’t matter, because it was the perfect time for my family to get together to head to the pumpkin patch with my twin nephews. Frankie and I met my parents (aka Mimi and Pops) at my sister Alyssa’s house. Alyssa and my brother-in-law Brandon gave us the best present ever last Christmas morning with the arrival of Christopher and Nicholas. You can read about the Nursery Rhyme Shower I hosted for Alyssa here.
With the twins, we always caravan in two or more vehicles. Those boys come with more baggage and equipment then I do for a full week’s trip! Ok I’m exaggerating, but it’s a lot. We packed everyone up and headed off to a nearby pumpkin patch.
The weather might not have been optimal. And the lighting was a little too bright since the sun graced us with her appearance. But I did manage to capture a few sweet moments.
Christopher was purely interested in observing the scene and taking it all in.
Nicholas was a little more focused on the details. Mini pumpkins and strands of hay. He kept putting hay in his mouth like a little farm boy. Too precious for words.
My dad got down on their level to capture a few photos of his own.
And Mimi took a few moments to soak up the sun.
These guys turn one soon! I still can’t believe it. Time flies. I will be planning their first birthday party and we have some great ideas in store! I’ll be sure to post about the party later in December :)
Here are some more photos from our pumpkin patch day!
